Summary

What's involved with this role:

Triumph Consultants are looking for a Street Works Manager to support the Head of Highways Management in delivering a planned, co-ordinated and efficient approach to the management of street works, minimising disruption, congestion and impact on the highway network while ensuring statutory compliance and the safe operation of the borough’s roads. Contract is for 5 months in Wembley.

Pay Rate: £27.81 per hour PAYE

Hours per week: 36, Monday – Friday, 09:00 - 17:00

Contract length: 5 Months

Location: Wembley, London, HA9 0FJ

Key requirements:

NRSWA Accredited to supervisor level.

Current and up to date knowledge of highway maintenance techniques

Current understanding of Highways Legislation

Significant up to date knowledge of the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991 (NRSWA) and the Traffic Management Act 2004 (TMA).

Key responsibilities:

Manage and lead staff to achieve high performance and effective operational delivery, including developing and improving staff capability.

Keep up to date with developments in service delivery and best practice to ensure the service performs effectively and to the highest standards.

Support the Head of Highways Management and Traffic Manager in delivering the Council’s statutory duties under the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991 (NRSWA) and the Traffic Management Act 2004 (TMA).

Manage, co-ordinate and enforce street works, highway works and related activities undertaken by statutory undertakers, contractors, developers and other parties to minimise disruption and congestion on the highway network.

Act as the Council’s lead point of contact on matters relating to NRSWA and TMA, providing technical advice, guidance and representation to internal and external stakeholders.
