Part-time Youth Worker – Race Equity

Job title: Part-time Youth Worker – Race Equity

Location: Newham

Reports to: Youth and Community Coordinator

Salary: £6,950 (9 hours per week)

Job Summary

The post holder will plan, develop and deliver youth projects and activities that promote race equity and equality, in line with REIN’s policies and procedures.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Programme Delivery and Quality

•

Support the delivery of youth programmes and activities, including centre-based provision, with a focus on race equity and equality.

•

Develop and deliver comprehensive, face-to-face thematic programmes.

•

Apply effective planning and evaluation processes to maintain high-quality delivery.

•

Develop programmes that enable young people to achieve recorded and accredited outcomes.

Partnerships, Communication and Development

•

Liaise with colleagues and partners to support the development of youth work programmes.

•

Build and maintain effective communication with partners.

•

Provide management with timely, accurate and relevant information.

•

Work collaboratively with REIN staff, volunteers, parents and strategic statutory partners to share good practice and promote equality of opportunity.

•

Attend relevant training and professional development opportunities.

Compliance and General Responsibilities

•

Follow REIN policies that support equality, diversity and anti-discriminatory practice.

•

Take responsibility for safeguarding and health and safety across all youth activities delivered.

•

Undertake any other reasonable duties requested by the Line Manager or CEO.
