Summary

Takes responsibility for neuropsychology provision within the Awake Craniotomy and Neurooncology ServiceIs expected to manage the care of the most challenging and complex presentations within the Awake Craniotomy and Neurooncology Service.Is required to provide management and supervision of recently qualified clinical psychologists and trainee clinical psychologists.Will be expected to develop and innovate methods in service provision for people with primary brain tumours and to support staff, relatives and, were appropriate, other services in providing care to this group of patients.Providing specialist neuropsychological and clinical psychological assessment, formulation and therapy, including awake craniotomyOffering advice and consultation on patients neuropsychological care to colleagues from other disciplines and to other, non-professional carers, working autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the teams policies and procedures.To utilise research skills for audit, policy and service development and research within the area served by the team/service.
