Summary
Nurture Mentor - Post-16 SEND Support
Location: South Molton, Devon
Rate: £20 - £22 p/h
Hours: Part-time / flexible
Start Date: ASAP
SEND Inclusion Support is looking for an experienced Nurture Mentor to work alongside an established Nurture Teacher, supporting a post-16 young person with complex SEND.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong SEND experience who enjoys building relationships, supporting engagement and helping a young person develop confidence, independence and practical skills.

The Nurture Teacher will lead the educational programme, with the Nurture Mentor working alongside them to provide consistent day-to-day support and help the young person engage with their learning and wider development.
You will work closely with the Nurture Teacher to support the young person with:

The Nurture Teacher will provide the educational planning and curriculum direction, so you won't be expected to plan and deliver a curriculum independently.
Your role will be about being a consistent, experienced and supportive presence alongside the young person and Nurture Teacher.
We're looking for someone with:

A degree-level qualification, HLTA experience or equivalent SEND experience would be advantageous.
Our Nurture Mentors are part of a wider specialist team. You'll be working alongside an experienced Nurture Teacher rather than being expected to work everything out alone.
