Summary
Communication Support Worker - BSL Level 3+ | Essex
Morgan Hunt is currently looking to speak with experienced
Communication Support Workers to support Deaf and hearing-impaired learners within Further Education settings across
Essex.
We are particularly interested in hearing from candidates who hold a
BSL Level 3 qualification or above and have experience supporting young people within an education setting.
The ideal candidate will have:
BSL Level 3 or above
Experience working as a Communication Support Worker or in a similar role
Experience supporting Deaf and hearing-impaired learners
Experience working with young people, ideally within Further Education
The ability to support learners both in and outside of the classroom
A good understanding of safeguarding within education
A
fully Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service
The role may involve:
Providing BSL communication support during lessons
Supporting learners to access teaching and learning materials
Working closely with lecturers, support teams and other professionals
Promoting learners' independence and confidence
Supporting effective communication between learners, staff and their peers
