Summary
Masstemps is currently recruiting for an experienced
PCB Assembler to join a well-established and busy manufacturing company based near the
Aston area.
THE ROLE
• Build and assemble electrical, electronic and electro-mechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies to drawings and work instructions.
• Carry out manual soldering of wires, components and PCB assemblies to the required standard.
• Assemble and connect wiring, cables, connectors and electrical components.
• Carry out electrical and electronic testing of completed assemblies and sub-assemblies.
• Perform post-assembly testing and basic fault-finding where required.
• Use test equipment and follow specified test procedures and instructions.
• Handle and inspect PCBs and electronic components carefully to prevent damage.
• Check completed assemblies for correct build, wiring, connections and overall quality.
• Identify and report any faults, defects or issues found during assembly and testing.
• Complete relevant production and test records accurately.
• Work from engineering drawings, assembly instructions and technical documentation.
• Maintain a clean and organised work area and follow company quality and health & safety procedures.
ABOUT YOU
• Previous experience in electrical, electronic or electro-mechanical assembly within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with manual soldering, ideally soldering wires, components or PCB assemblies.
• Experience assembling electrical wiring, cables, connectors and components.
• Previous experience handling and working with PCBs would be advantageous.
• Experience carrying out post-assembly testing of electrical or electronic products would be beneficial.
• Ability to use basic electrical/electronic test equipment and follow test procedures.
• Able to read and follow assembly drawings, work instructions and test specifications.
• Computer literate and comfortable completing production or test records.
• Good attention to detail, particularly when working with small components and wiring.
• Previous electro-mechanical assembly experience would be advantageous.
• Candidates with experience in electronic manufacturing, PCB assembly, control panels or cable assembly would also be considered.
HOURS OF WORK
07:30am - 16:30pm Mon - Thur / Fri 07:30am - 12:30pm (39hrs)
PAY RATE
£12.71 - £13.50ph
