Job Advert Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join us as a Retention and Wellbeing Officer in Occupational Health and Wellbeing.

What you will be doing?

To report to the Wellbeing Manager and work closely with peers and other stakeholders to support workforce wellbeing and engagement. To work with Police Officers and Police Staff to understand reasons why individuals may be considering leaving the service, providing a safe and confidential space for them to discuss their concerns.

To develop and discuss potential appropriate interventions with line managers and others (such as Occupational Health, HR Service Delivery, Learning & Development) with the aim of agreeing interventions that align with both force and individual needs to improve wellbeing, prevent turnover and provide organisation resilience.

Conduct ‘stay interviews’ with staff and officers who are considering leaving the service to understand their concerns and to put in place targeted interventions / support to prevent turnover.

As a dedicated point of contact, consult with Managers and other relevant stakeholders to advise and assist in the implementation of appropriate wellbeing interventions or signpost to existing support and guidance.
