Summary
Luma Education Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant / Learning Support Assistant to join a supportive school in Harlow, Essex on a full-time, long-term basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant, SEN Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, Learning Mentor, Inclusion Assistant or Education Support Worker looking for a rewarding role supporting children and young people with SEND, SEN and additional learning needs.
The school provides a structured and supportive learning environment, with a focus on helping pupils develop their confidence, independence, communication, engagement and access to education.
As a Teaching Assistant / Learning Support Assistant, you will work alongside teachers and the wider support team to help pupils access learning and make progress.
Your responsibilities may include:

Providing 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEN and additional learning needs

Previous experience supporting pupils with SEN, SEND, SEMH, autism, ADHD, additional learning needs or behavioural needs would be advantageous.
You should be patient, reliable and confident working as part of a school team, with a genuine interest in supporting young people to engage with education.
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is advantageous, although candidates without one may still be considered subject to the appropriate checks.
