Children's Home Registered Manager
Salary: £45,000–£55,000 + additional bonus structure
Location: North Manchester
Home Size: NEW 2–4 Bed EBD

What We're Looking For
• Previous experience as a Registered Manager within children's residential care
• Strong understanding of Ofsted requirements, Children's Homes Regulations and safeguarding
• Experience working with children and young people with EBD and complex needs
• Confident leadership skills with the ability to recruit, motivate and develop a staff team
• Strong understanding of care planning, risk management and safeguarding
• Ability to maintain high standards of compliance and quality
• Strong communication, organisation and decision-making skills
• Child-centred approach with a commitment to achieving positive outcomes
• Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management for Children's Residential Care, or willingness to work towards it
• Flexibility to provide on-call support when required
Key Roles & Responsibilities
• Lead the registration, opening and day-to-day management of the new 2–4 bed EBD home
• Ensure the service operates in line with Ofsted requirements, Children's Homes Regulations and safeguarding standards
• Recruit, lead, supervise and develop a high-performing staff team
• Establish a safe, nurturing and child-centred environment for young people
• Oversee care planning, risk assessments, safeguarding and behaviour support
• Ensure young people's individual needs, wishes and outcomes remain central to the service
• Manage staffing, rotas, resources and the day-to-day running of the home
• Maintain accurate records and ensure all regulatory and compliance requirements are met
• Prepare the service for Ofsted inspection and drive continuous improvement
• Build positive relationships with local authorities, social workers, families and other professionals
• Monitor staff performance and promote a strong culture of safeguarding and professional practice
• Support positive outcomes for young people across wellbeing, education, independence and personal development
• Participate in the on-call rota when required
