About the Role
SEND Inclusion Support are looking for an experienced and compassionate Outreach Nurture Mentor to provide pastoral, emotional and nurture support to two young people with SEND and SEMH needs.
This is a relationship-led outreach role for someone who understands that, for some young people, feeling safe, understood and supported has to come before they can fully engage with education.
You will work closely with two young people who experience SEND, SEMH needs and anxiety, providing consistent support to help them build confidence, manage emotional barriers and engage more positively with their education and wider community.
This is not a traditional classroom-based role. We are looking for someone who is confident working on an individual basis, adapting their approach around the young person's needs and building a genuine relationship based on trust.

About You

Working Pattern
The role will be delivered over 3-5 mornings per week, depending on the needs of the young people.
This is an outreach-based position, supporting two individual young people in a pastoral and nurture capacity rather than working as a traditional classroom-based teaching assistant.
The successful candidate will become an important part of each young person's support network, providing consistency and helping them make meaningful progress towards greater confidence, emotional wellbeing and engagement with education.
Why SEND Inclusion Support?
At SEND Inclusion Support, we take a relationship-led, individualised approach to supporting young people who may not thrive within traditional education.
Our Outreach Nurture Mentors are part of a wider specialist SEND team, working alongside experienced professionals to provide the right support around each young person.
You won't be expected to take a one-size-fits-all approach. We value professionals who can use their experience, build trust and adapt their approach to what each young person actually needs.
