We are currently working with a

welcoming and high-achieving primary school in the Formby/L37 area of Liverpool, who are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic

Graduate Year 6 Teaching Assistant to join their team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a graduate who wants to gain hands-on experience working with pupils in their final year of primary school and develop their understanding of the transition into secondary education.

The Role

Working within a

Year 6 classroom, you will support pupils with their learning and development while working closely alongside the class teacher.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting pupils across the

Year 6 curriculum

• Providing 1:1 and small-group support where required

• Supporting pupils with preparation for

SATs and end-of-year assessments

• Delivering targeted learning activities and interventions

• Helping pupils develop confidence and independence

• Supporting classroom behaviour and engagement

• Assisting the class teacher with day-to-day classroom activities

• Building positive relationships with pupils and encouraging their progress

• Supporting pupils with the transition from primary to secondary school

The Ideal Candidate

We are keen to hear from graduates who are passionate about working with children and interested in developing a career within education.

Graduates from subjects including

Education, Psychology, Sociology, English, Maths, Childcare, Health & Social Care and other related disciplines are encouraged to apply.

Previous experience working with children is desirable, whether through:

• School experience

• Teaching assistant work

• Childcare

• Social care

• Volunteering

• University placements

• Coaching or mentoring
