We are currently seeking a skilled Vehicle Damage Assessor / Estimator to join a reputable accident repair centre in Fareham, Hampshire. Duties of a Vehicle Damage Assessor:

- Accurately assess vehicle damage and generate detailed repair estimates compliant with manufacturer standards

- Communicate effectively with customers, technicians, and insurance providers to negotiate repair costs

- Control supplementary authorisation processes, including parts and labour approval

- Generate repair orders, PAS documents, and oversee repair procedures from commencement to completion

- Maintain precise customer and vehicle records within the management system

- Verify estimates, ensure quality control, and conduct comprehensive inspections for safety and standard compliance

- Assist in controlling repair timelines and manage additional authorisations as necessary

- Ensure all documentation is accurately recorded and transferred to relevant departments

Requirements:

- Proven experience as a Vehicle Damage Assessor / Estimator within a busy accident repair environment

- ATA qualification as a Vehicle Damage Assessor (VDA) or equivalent

- Solid understanding of vehicle construction, safety features, and repair methodologies

- Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills

- Proficiency with estimating systems such as Audatex and adherence to PAS 125 standards

- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently within a team setting

- Full UK driving licence
