Duties of the HGV Technician include:

- Receiving and reviewing job cards allocated by the workshop controller.

- Performing routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs.

- Testing vehicle systems using advanced diagnostic equipment.

- Examining vehicles for damage or malfunctions and executing repairs or replacements.

- Relining, adjusting, and replacing brakes and other critical systems.

- Servicing air conditioning, electrical, heating, and cooling systems.

- Identifying faults, sourcing parts, and ensuring all work meets quality standards.

- Conducting inspections and tests to evaluate vehicle safety and performance.

Requirements for the HGV Technician role:

- NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent in HGV repair, vehicle maintenance, or repair.

- Proven experience working with HGVs, LCVs, or similar commercial vehicles.

- Strong technical knowledge and diagnostic skills.

- Ability to work effectively as part of a team with a proactive attitude.

- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.

- Solid problem-solving ability, with a focus on quality and safety standards.
