Summary

PRODUCTION ENGINEER – £35,000–£40,000 DOE🔧

Location: Stafford

We’re looking for an experienced Production Engineer to join our client's engineering team and play a key role in improving our manufacturing operation.

This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who can work independently, identify problems, find the root cause and deliver practical solutions

🔧 What will you be doing?

✅ Identify and deliver improvements to production, efficiency, quality and cost

✅ Take ownership of engineering problems from investigation through to solution

✅ Carry out root-cause analysis and implement corrective and preventative actions

✅ Improve manufacturing methods, tooling, fixtures and processes

✅ Provide practical engineering support to production teams

✅ Lead and support continuous improvement and cost-reduction projects

✅ Develop and improve work instructions, manufacturing documentation and

engineering standards

✅ Work closely with Production, Quality, Engineering, NPI and Supply Chain teams

✅ Measure the impact of improvements and make sure solutions are maintained

👷 About you

We’re looking for someone with a proven track record of delivering results within a manufacturing environment.

Ideally, you’ll have:

🔹 Previous experience in Production, Manufacturing or Process Engineering

🔹 Proven experience improving manufacturing processes

🔹 Strong practical problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills

🔹 The ability to work autonomously and take ownership

🔹 A hands-on approach and confidence working directly with production teams

🔹 Experience with CAD, engineering drawings, tooling, jigs/fixtures and manufacturing processes

🔹 Good communication and project-management skills

⚠️ This is not a graduate or apprenticeship-level position.

We’re looking for an experienced engineer who can demonstrate what they have delivered, not simply the qualifications they hold.

💷 Salary: £35,000–£40,000 depending on experience
