If this sounds like the perfect job for you, please apply.Information:Position: Control Room OperatorLocation: London BridgePay Rate: £16.37 per hourHours: Average 42 hours per weekShifts: 4 On 4 Off - Days & NightsKey Responsibilities:To utilise the CCTV system to carry out active surveillance across the EstateTo operate and monitor the day-to-day requirements of the CCTV system, Access Control system, Radios & keys in line with customer and contractual expectations, ensuring service delivery and prompt response to all incidentsTo record daily events/requests/actions in logs providedEffectively communicate with the Control Room Manager and Duty Security Manager, ensuring all incidents are escalated in a timely and appropriate manner.Job Requirements:SIA CCTV Licence requiredSIA Door Supervisor licence would be a bonusCCTV Security Experience is required - At least a yearStrong IT ability - including Excel, Word, OutlookExcellent written communication and interpersonal skillsGood knowledge of local areaKnowledge of the phonetic alphabet and IC codes are essential Excellent levels of customer service at all timesDemonstrated ability to think and act quickly in emergencies or under pressureTo have a smart appearance befitting the companyGood organisational skills, flexibility and reliabilityFirst Aid trained is a bonusBe fully aware of current CCTV policies and data protection requirementJob Role:The post holder must, at all times, carry out their duties and responsibilities to comply with policies/proceduresMonitor and operate the CCTV cameras and associated equipment in the CCTV Control Room.To respond to all incidents, taking ownership of the situation through to its natural conclusion to both client and management satisfactionEffective communication with the Control Room Manager and Duty security manager and escalate any issues as required or necessaryIssuing access passes and equipment, and ensure that the issue logs are kept up to date & report any anomalies to the Control Room ManagerCarry out varying administrative tasks as directed by the management teamCarry out CCTV checks, camera audits and functionality checks of CCTV recordingsAction access control requests from the intercom at varying entry points on the estateMaintain the daily occurrence log (DOB) to ensure all incidents and occurrences are up to dateBe conversant with all life safety systems and assist in responding to all emergencies promptlyDirect any telephone enquiries or messages to the relevant person or departmentAnswer enquires received on the intercom and action access requests from various locations as requiredAction and communicate fire alarms as received in the Control RoomAnswer and transfer telephone calls and action permit and access requestsMonitor, report and escalate to the Control Room Manager all breaking news that would impact staff & buildings.Ensure officers are on post and that positions are not down manned without authorisation.Follow protocols for maintaining the security and integrity of the Control Room and its facilities.Operate a range of monitoring, and communication facilities contained within the Control Room.At all times the post holder must maintain and respect the security and sensitivity of the service.
