Summary
We are recruiting a SEND Functional Skills Tutor to work with an education provider in Leicester, delivering targeted Functional Skills tuition to young people with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
This is a flexible, part-time opportunity, offering 3-5 days per week, with up to 5 hours of teaching per day. The role can suit an experienced teacher or tutor looking for a flexible working pattern alongside other commitments.
The successful candidate will deliver structured, differentiated learning, primarily across English and Maths Functional Skills, adapting teaching around each learner's individual needs, abilities and starting points.

Previous experience supporting learners with additional needs is important. You will need to adapt your approach around individual barriers to learning, including pace, communication, sensory needs, confidence and levels of adult support.
