Graduate Pastoral & Behaviour Mentor
Coventry | Full-Time | £20,000-£25,000
Ready to make a difference beyond the classroom?
Are you a
graduate who wants to help young people build confidence, overcome challenges and get the most from their education?
Do you have the
resilience, patience and communication skills
to support students who may need additional guidance with behaviour, attendance or engagement?
We are working with a supportive secondary school in
Coventry
who are looking for a dedicated
Graduate Pastoral & Behaviour Mentor
to join their team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate looking to gain meaningful experience in education, particularly if you're considering a future career in
teaching, pastoral support, youth work, psychology or SEND.
The Role
As a Graduate Pastoral & Behaviour Mentor, you'll work closely with students who may need additional support to engage positively with school and their learning.
You'll help students recognise barriers, develop positive strategies and build the confidence and independence they need to succeed.
Your responsibilities will include:
Providing
1:1 and small-group mentoring
Supporting young people with
behaviour, attendance and engagement
Helping promote a
calm, respectful and inclusive school environment
Who are we looking for?
We're looking for a graduate who is genuinely interested in
working with young people and making a positive impact.
You'll ideally have:
A
minimum 2:1 degree
Patience, resilience and emotional awareness
Previous experience working with young people is desirable but not essential.
Experience through tutoring, mentoring, coaching, volunteering, youth work or similar roles would be advantageous, but we're also keen to hear from graduates who can demonstrate the
right attitude, personality and commitment
to supporting students.
What can you gain?
This role offers the opportunity to gain
valuable, hands-on experience within a secondary school
while developing practical skills that can support your future career.
You'll gain experience in:
Pastoral support and student mentoring
The role could be an excellent stepping stone towards
teacher training, youth work, educational psychology, counselling, SEND or wider pastoral careers.
Ready to take the next step?
If you're a graduate who wants to
support young people, gain meaningful school experience and build a career where you can make a difference, we'd love to hear from you.
Send your CV and cover letter to Abbie at KPI Education today.
