What will you be doing?

Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths, helping them tackle challenging topics and become more confident in their learning.

Depending on the needs of the school and its students, you could be supporting learners

Your day-to-day responsibilities may include:

    STEM-related learning and challenging concepts

  • Providing additional guidance to pupils who require extra support
  • Working as part of a wider team of teachers and support staff
  • Sharing observations and feedback on student progress where appropriate
  • What are we looking for?

We're keen to hear from graduates who have:

  • Ideally achieved a

    2:1 or above

  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to explain concepts clearly
  • A genuine interest in working with young people
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A

    patient, enthusiastic and positive approach

  • The ability to build positive relationships with students
  • Previous school or classroom experience isn't essential.

We're particularly interested in graduates who can demonstrate enthusiasm for their subject and a genuine desire to

help young people learn and succeed.

    Why consider this role?

This is an excellent opportunity to gain

    real classroom experience

while making use of the degree you've worked hard to achieve.

You'll develop transferable skills in communication, mentoring, behaviour management and learning support, while working alongside experienced education professionals.

The role could be an ideal stepping stone if you're considering:

  • Teacher training or a career in teaching

  • Tutoring or academic support
  • A career in STEM education
  • Wider education or youth-focused roles
  • You'll also have the opportunity to

gain experience supporting students with a

range of abilities and learning needs

and develop your understanding of what makes an effective learning environment.
