Location: Oldham
Contract: Temporary, possible option of temp to perm
Full time/Part time: Full time, 8:30am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday
Pay: From £110 per day
Start date: 21st September 2026
Expected end date: 23rd July 2027
We are working in partnership with a welcoming mainstream primary school in Chadderton that is looking to appoint a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils within their specialist provision.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive team where you'll play a key role in helping children with a range of additional needs reach their full potential in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
The Role:
- Supporting pupils with a variety of Special Educational Needs within the school's specialist unit
- Delivering tailored 1:1 and small group interventions
- Encouraging communication, independence and positive behaviour
- Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and external professionals
- Creating a safe, engaging and supportive learning environment
We're Looking For:
- Experience working with children with SEND (school, care or similar setting
- A patient, resilient and positive attitude
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- A genuine passion for supporting children to succeed
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one
