Burnbrae is a 28-bedded residential care home supporting older adults with a wide range of needs, including dementia, mental health conditions, and frailty.

As part of the Falkirk Health and Social Care Partnership, we work closely with colleagues across a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, person-centred care. About the Role

We are looking for caring, compassionate, and dedicated individuals who are committed to making a positive difference in the lives of older adults.

Candidates should have experience and knowledge of providing care, with experience of supporting older adults, particularly those with mental health needs, being desirable. You should demonstrate:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A flexible and adaptable approach to work
  • A willingness to learn and develop professionally
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Experience of assessment, support planning, risk assessment, and case recording

An SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care and Moving and Handling training are desirable; however, support can be provided to achieve the required qualification within the Falkirk Health and Social Care Partnership.

Successful candidates must be eligible to register with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) as a Practitioner in Care Home Services for Older People and obtain the necessary qualification within the required timescale. A satisfactory PVG Scheme Membership will also be required and maintained throughout employment.

Working Hours

This post is for 25.9 hours per week, worked on a six weekly rota pattern which includes back shifts and weekend working.
