Flick Learning part of Impact Futures Group have an exciting opportunity to join our Sales team as Business Development Executive.

This is a hybrid based role and will require attendance to our office in Coventry three days a week; Mondays, Fridays and one additional flexible day between Tuesday-Thursday.

Please note, whilst the role is hybrid, during your initial training/induction, you may be required to attend the office for the first 2 weeks to complete training.

The Role

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and commercially minded Business Development Executive to join our growing team at flick.

This is a 360° business development role, where you’ll play a key part in the customer journey from beginning to end; from sourcing data and generating opportunities, through to product demonstrations, negotiation and closing new business.

You’ll be someone who genuinely enjoys speaking to customers, understanding their challenges and finding the right solution. You’ll become a product expert, confidently demonstrating flick and showing prospective clients how our products and services can make a real difference to their organisation.

What You'll Be Doing

As our Business Development Executive, your responsibilities will include:

- Managing the customer journey from initial enquiry through to handover to the dedicated Account Manager.

- Responding to incoming enquiries via phone, email and website enquiries within 30 minutes of receipt.

- Building, managing and growing a healthy sales pipeline.

- Sourcing data and identifying new business opportunities.

- Carrying out fact-finding conversations to understand customer needs and requirements.

- Delivering engaging product demonstrations to prospective clients.

- Taking a consultative approach to sales, matching our products and services to customer requirements.

- Negotiating and closing new business opportunities.

- Acting as a product expert, developing an excellent understanding of flick and our product offering.

- Providing technical assistance to customers where required.

- Maintaining accurate customer records across the CRM and other databases, in line with company standards and GDPR.

- Managing customer expectations to ensure a smooth transition and account set-up for the Account Manager.

- Supporting Client Services to provide a seamless customer experience, including assisting with payment chasing where required.

- Attending marketing meetings and events to network, build relationships and generate high-quality leads.

- Supporting the delivery of an ambitious business plan and identifying new, untapped opportunities.

- Working collaboratively across the wider flick team and supporting other areas of the business when required.

About You

We’re looking for someone who is:

- Commercially driven and motivated by achieving targets and KPIs.

- A confident and engaging communicator, both verbally and in writing.

- Naturally personable, friendly and able to build strong relationships with a wide range of customers.

- Comfortable managing multiple customers and opportunities at different stages of the sales journey.

- Organised, proactive and able to prioritise competing responsibilities.

- Confident asking questions, understanding customer needs and providing solutions.

- Comfortable presenting and demonstrating products to prospective customers.

- Self-motivated and able to work towards monthly and annual targets.

- Positive, adaptable and willing to get stuck in with a genuine can-do attitude.

- IT literate, with experience using Microsoft Office and ideally HubSpot or another CRM system.

- Quick to learn new products, processes and systems.

- Passionate about delivering excellent customer service and understanding how this contributes to customer retention and revenue growth.

Success in this role will be measured through new business revenue, sales performance and agreed KPIs, alongside the quality of the customer experience you deliver.
