Summary
Life Skillz CIC provides supported accommodation to adults with low to medium support needs. We are seeking an organised and proactive Property & Administration Coordinator to support the management of our accommodation portfolio and day-to-day administrative operations.
This is a varied role combining property management, housing administration, compliance and benefits-related administration. The successful candidate will work closely with management, support workers, residents, landlords, contractors, local authorities and other external agencies.
Key Responsibilities;
Coordinate the day-to-day administration of supported accommodation properties.
Maintain accurate property, resident, maintenance and compliance records.
Monitor property compliance documentation, including gas safety, electrical safety, fire safety and other required certificates.
Maintain property, maintenance and compliance trackers and follow outstanding actions through to completion.
Coordinate repairs and maintenance with contractors.
Conduct or assist with routine property inspections.
Liaise with landlords, contractors, residents, support workers, councils and external agencies.
Assist residents and the wider team with Housing Benefit and Universal Credit housing-cost matters.
Have a working understanding of UK welfare benefits, particularly Universal Credit and Housing Benefit.
Assist with Housing Benefit applications, evidence requests, changes of circumstances and benefit-related correspondence where appropriate.
Communicate with local authority Housing Benefit departments regarding claims and outstanding information.
Maintain accurate records of benefit-related correspondence and ensure deadlines and requests for information are followed up.
Assist with new resident move-ins, housing documentation and associated administration.
Prepare professional letters, emails, reports and spreadsheets.
Maintain organised electronic and physical resident/property files.
Monitor shared inboxes and appropriately respond to or allocate enquiries.
Escalate safeguarding, property, compliance, benefit or resident concerns to management.
Provide general administrative support to management and the wider team.
