Summary
This is a full-time Supported Housing Officer role with Nacro, paying £31,982 per year, with progression to £32,782 within the first year subject to performance. The contract is fixed-term until 28 November 2027, and although the role is remote, it requires regular travel across the East Midlands.

The main purpose of the job is to manage housing and tenancy services for people living in Nacro’s supported accommodation. You would be the main housing-management contact for your allocated area and work closely with support teams to help vulnerable residents maintain successful tenancies.
Main responsibilities
Manage rent accounts, arrears, former tenant debts and Housing Benefit payments.
Take action to recover rent arrears and support residents with payment arrangements and money management.
Handle tenancy agreements, tenancy breaches, abandonment, succession and tenancy endings.
Deal with anti-social behaviour and neighbour disputes, working with legal and support teams on more serious cases.
Prepare legal notices, witness statements and court documentation, and represent Nacro in court when necessary.
Monitor property standards, repairs, health and safety and compliance.
Work with local authorities, Housing Benefit teams, property services and other external partners.
Visit properties to identify issues and support estate management and compliance.
Provide guidance and training to other Nacro staff on housing management and tenancy procedures.

They particularly want someone with experience in social or supported housing, knowledge of housing law and tenancy enforcement, and an understanding of Housing Benefit and Exempt Accommodation. Strong communication, organisation, partnership working and the ability to manage several priorities are also important.
