St John Ambulance works at the heart of communities, supporting and enabling them to access and receive physical and mental health first aid. Job Summary
Join St John Ambulance as a National Account Manager (Premium) and take the lead in managing and developing relationships with some of our highest value and most prestigious commercial training customers.
You will be responsible for delivering sustained customer retention and growth through a strategic, insight-driven and customer-centric approach. Acting as a trusted advisor and commercial lead, you will build strong relationships with customers, understand their needs and identify opportunities to develop solutions that deliver value for both the customer and St John Ambulance.
Using a consultative and value-led sales approach, you will shape opportunities, negotiate commercial agreements and maximise growth while balancing customer value, competitiveness and margin. Working collaboratively across the organisation, you will help deliver a seamless customer experience and contribute to the wider strategic direction of St John Ambulance.
About You
· You have significant experience in strategic account management, key account management, business development or a similar commercial role.
· You have a strong track record of building and maintaining long-term relationships with high-value customers and key stakeholders.
· You are commercially focused and experienced in identifying opportunities to retain, grow and develop strategic customer accounts.
· You are confident using a consultative, value-led sales approach to understand customer needs and develop solutions that deliver mutual value.
· You have strong negotiation and influencing skills, with the ability to achieve positive commercial outcomes while maintaining strong customer relationships.
· You are comfortable working with senior stakeholders and can build credibility and trust as a strategic advisor.
· You have strong analytical and insight skills, with the ability to use customer and market information to identify opportunities and inform account strategies.
· You are confident managing complex customer relationships and working collaboratively with multiple internal teams to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
· You are organised, commercially aware and able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a strong focus on customer and business outcomes.
· You are proactive and able to identify new opportunities, challenge existing approaches and contribute to sustainable commercial growth.

About the Role
· Lead and strengthen relationships with St John Ambulance's highest value and most prestigious commercial training customers.
· Develop and implement strategic account plans focused on customer retention, growth and long-term value.
· Act as a trusted advisor to customers, developing a deep understanding of their business, challenges and future requirements.
· Use insight, customer data and market intelligence to identify opportunities for account growth and development.
· Apply a consultative, value-led sales approach to identify customer needs and shape appropriate training solutions.
· Lead commercial discussions and negotiate agreements that balance customer value, competitiveness and margin.
· Identify opportunities to increase customer spend, introduce additional services and develop long-term commercial partnerships.
· Build strong relationships with senior customer stakeholders and establish St John Ambulance as a trusted strategic partner.
· Work collaboratively with colleagues across Sales, Business Development, Training, Operations and other functions to deliver a seamless customer experience.
· Coordinate internal teams to ensure customer requirements are understood and delivered effectively.
· Monitor account performance, customer satisfaction and commercial results, taking action to address risks and maximise opportunities.
· Contribute customer insight and market intelligence to the wider Sales and Business Development strategy.
· Support scalable growth and contribute to the delivery of St John Ambulance's wider strategic ambitions for 2026–2028.
