Summary

Agricultural Bedding Sales Executive

The Job:

We are looking for an Agricultural Bedding Sales Executive to join an established and growing business supplying bedding products into the agricultural sector. Based at the company’s office, you will take responsibility for managing and developing bedding sales, building strong relationships with existing customers and identifying opportunities to grow the customer base.

The role is predominantly office based, with a small amount of travel to visit customers when required. You will report directly to the Sales Director and will play an important role in growing the bedding side of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage day to day sales of agricultural bedding products

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers

- Identify and follow up new sales opportunities

- Handle customer enquiries, quotations and orders

- Build a strong understanding of customer requirements and recommend suitable products

- Manage the sales process from initial enquiry through to completion

- Monitor sales activity and identify opportunities for further growth

- Keep in regular contact with customers and develop long-term relationships

- Visit customers when required

- Work closely with the Sales Director on sales strategy and business development

- Report on sales activity, opportunities and performance

- Keep up to date with market conditions and competitor activity

The Candidate:

- Commercially minded and confident speaking to customers

- Experienced in agricultural sales or a related sector

- Comfortable managing existing accounts as well as developing new business

- Organised and able to manage their own workload

- Confident handling enquiries, quotations and negotiations

- Knowledgeable about UK agriculture and livestock would be an advantage

- A good communicator with a professional and friendly approach

- Comfortable working as part of a small, commercially focused team

- Willing to travel to customers occasionally

- Agricultural experience is important, but equally we are looking for someone who is commercially driven, proactive and good at building customer relationships

The Package:

- Salary £30,000 – £35,000 DOE

- Office based role

- Small amount of customer travel

Candidate Requirements

All applicants must hold a minimum of an NVQ Level 2, Scottish NVQ Level 2, or an equivalent qualification relevant to the role applied for. Candidates must also have the legal right to work in the UK or hold a valid visa permitting employment.
