Summary
Are you a dedicated educator looking to make a meaningful impact? We are seeking a motivated SEND Teacher to join our team in a challenging yet highly rewarding role supporting students with complex needs.
You will deliver high-quality teaching to pupils with autism and complex needs, empowering them to overcome barriers and foster independence in a safe, inclusive environment. Additionally, you will lead a subject area, mentor support staff, and drive student growth.
We operate a strict no-sponsorship policy; all applicants must have the permanent right to work in the UK.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement varying lesson plans for each individual student.
Manage complex classroom dynamics with a calm, reflective, and non-confrontational approach.
Collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team to review EHC plans.
Provide professional leadership in a designated subject area, monitoring standards and promoting best practice.
Maintain clear communication with parents, carers, and outside agencies to ensure holistic student support.
Essentials
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with PGCE; proven experience in a special school environment working with ASC/SEND pupils.
Ability to teach up to and including GCSE level; strong drive for professional development; excellent written and verbal communication.
Must hold a valid driver's license and be physically able to meet the requirements of the role.
A deep understanding of autism and associated conditions is essential.
Able to provide your own vehicle or public transport.
Strong understanding of safeguarding principles and child protection procedures.
Eligibility to work in the UK.
The candidate will be required to undergo a full enhanced DBS check.
