We believe every child is unique and regardless of their starting point have the potential to flourish and reach their goals.SEND Teaching AssistantSandfield Close is seeking to appoint an experienced Level 2 SEND Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team. The role will be to support a KS2 child on a one-to-one basis, who has learning needs and struggles to regulate. You will need the necessary skills to provide behaviour and learning support.This is a fixed-term position from 26 October 2026 until the end of the 2026/27 academic year.What we offer:• Salary: Grade 3, Point 5 – FTE £25,583 (Actual £18,898.52 per annum.

• 31 hours 40 minutes per week, term time only, 39 weeks (including a 30-minute unpaid lunch break)

• Working pattern: Monday – Friday, 8:20am – 3:10pm Please note: This post is funded through SEND provision and is not a permanent position. Should the pupil being supported leave the school, a four-week notice period will apply.About the role:You will:• Support pupil with Cognition and Learning needs and Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs

• Deliver personalised 1:1 support and targeted interventions

• Be proactive in applying your SEND experience to support the needs of the pupil

• Support the pupil to integrate successfully with peers in class

• Maintain accurate SEND provision records

• Meet the well-being of all pupils

• Communicate effectively with both children and adults We are looking for someone who:• Is caring, patient, calm and proactive

• Has experience of supporting children with SEND

• Has practical knowledge of SEND strategies and interventions

• Is confident in supporting pupils who may present with behaviours that challenge

• Is skilled in de-escalation techniques and positive reinforcement

• Can follow agreed support plans while also using their own initiative

• Works effectively as part of a collaborative and supportive team
