Summary
Help shape a safe, responsive and sustainable temporary workforce across Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and influential Temporary Staffing Advisor to join our People Operations team covering maternity leave for 12 months. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in improving how we plan, deploy and support our temporary workforce, helping clinical services access the right people at the right time while maintaining safe staffing, quality and value for money.
Working closely with managers, clinical leads, workforce colleagues and external partners, you will use data, insight and relationship-building skills to support workforce planning, service improvement and cost-effective temporary staffing solutions. You will help develop smarter processes, improve reporting and contribute to projects that strengthen workforce resilience across the Trust.
This role will suit someone who is organised, analytical and confident working with spreadsheets and a wide range of stakeholders. You will bring experience of temporary staffing and resourcing or workforce planning in a complex environment, alongside the ability to influence change, solve problems and present information clearly.
If you are motivated by making services better, supporting safe patient care and working collaboratively across the NHS, we would love to hear from you.
• Work collaboratively with managers and HR colleagues to support the development of workforce plans that reflect demand and supply, and build temporary staffing plans that
ensure effective availability of temporary staffing for the Trust. This is to be done within the context of Trust productivity and efficiency goals.
• You will not line manage staff directly, you will however be required to influence a broad range of people to deliver the temporary workforce agenda effectively.
• You will support the Trust in the control of temporary workforce costs, maximising safe staffing, and financial opportunities wherever possible to achieve financial savings.
• Work with colleagues to ensure data is available, accurate and timely and supports business needs, enabling decision making, and seek to improve data quality and management information.
• Work with the Temporary Staffing team to support continual service improvement, monitoring, measuring, reporting and taking appropriate action in regard to temporary staffing.
• Keep informed of the wider NHS agenda, changes in legislation, best practice and new developments that are applicable to temporary staffing, cascading to colleagues, Trust Managers and other stakeholders as appropriate.
At Imperial College Healthcare you can achieve extraordinary things with extraordinary people, working with leading clinicians pushing boundaries in patient care.
