Pay Rate: £14.75 per hour
Contract: Permanent
Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off, 6:30am–5:30pm
Additional Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:00am–finish
We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established vegetable production business for an experienced and motivated Production Supervisor to join their team on a permanent basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous supervisory experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is confident leading a team to achieve high standards of quality, productivity and health & safety.
The Role
As a Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day running of the production area and supporting your team to ensure targets and standards are consistently achieved.
Key responsibilities include:
• Supervising and supporting production staff on a daily basis.
• Allocating tasks and managing workloads across the team.
• Ensuring production targets and deadlines are achieved.
• Maintaining high standards of quality and food hygiene.
• Ensuring all health & safety procedures are followed.
• Monitoring staff performance and providing support where required.
• Communicating effectively with management and other departments.
• Helping resolve day-to-day production issues.
• Ensuring the production area remains clean, organised and efficient.
• Supporting the smooth running of the operation during busy periods.
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
• Experienced in a supervisory or team leader role, ideally within food production, manufacturing or a warehouse environment.
• Confident managing and motivating a team.
• Organised and able to work under pressure.
• Reliable, proactive and hands-on.
• A strong communicator with good people skills.
• Safety-conscious with a good understanding of workplace procedures.
• Flexible and willing to get involved when required.
