Summary

Learning Support Assistant (LSA) - Further Education

Location: South Manchester

Hours: 1 day per week (Mon)

Contract: Temporary to Permanent

Pay: £13-£15 per hour

We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a supportive school team on a temporary-to-permanent basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young people with their learning, development and wellbeing.

As an LSA, you will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide one-to-one and small-group support to pupils, helping them to engage with their learning and reach their full potential.

Key responsibilities include:

- Supporting pupils with their learning and development

- Providing one-to-one and small-group support where required

- Helping pupils stay engaged, focused and motivated

- Supporting the class teacher with classroom activities

- Encouraging positive behaviour and independence

- Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils

- Providing support with social and emotional development where appropriate

- Helping to create a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment

We are looking for someone who is:

- Patient, caring and approachable

- Enthusiastic about working with young people

- Reliable and committed

- Able to build positive relationships with pupils

- A confident communicator and team player

- Previous experience working in a school, educational setting or supporting children is desirable, but not essential for the right candidate

- £13-£15 per hour

- 1 day per week
