As a Part-Time Care Warden working across our clients’ supported housing facilities, you will help protect the safety, security and wellbeing of residents, staff and visitors.
This vacancy is specifically intended for individuals seeking part-time evening and weekend work. The role combines proactive security, resident-focused interaction, safeguarding awareness and operational duties.

Part-Time Hours and Availability
We are recruiting Care Wardens to work part-time evening shifts from Monday to Sunday, together with daytime shifts on Saturdays and Sundays.
Applicants must be regularly available during the following periods:
Monday to Friday: 5:00pm to midnight
Saturday and Sunday: 6:00am to 10:00pm
Individual shifts will be scheduled within these periods and will not cover the full availability window.
Please only apply if you are seeking part-time work and can provide regular evening and weekend availability. This position is not suitable for applicants seeking full-time hours or weekday daytime work.
Additional shifts may occasionally be offered depending on operational requirements, but these are not guaranteed.
Key Responsibilities
The role of Care Warden is varied and includes:
Monitoring CCTV systems and responding to unusual, suspicious or unsafe activity.
Completing regular patrols and checking for security breaches, hazards, maintenance concerns and other issues.
Carrying out welfare-related duties and responding appropriately to concerns regarding residents.
Accurately completing daily occurrence logs, incident reports, welfare records, handovers and first-aid documentation.
Identifying and reporting maintenance or repair requirements affecting the safety, security or functionality of the site.
Liaising professionally with emergency services, local authorities, clients, support teams and other agencies.
Completing identity and access checks and ensuring only authorised individuals enter the premises.
Delivering a high standard of customer service to residents, clients, visitors and colleagues.
Responding calmly and professionally to incidents, emergencies, disputes and challenging situations.
Maintaining appropriate professional boundaries within supported housing environments.
Keeping the security office and surrounding work areas clean, tidy and free from hazards.

Essential Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must:
Hold a valid SIA Door Supervisor or Security Guarding licence.
Hold a full, valid UK driving licence.
Have access to a reliable vehicle for travelling to and from work.
Be seeking part-time employment.
Be regularly available between 5:00pm and midnight from Monday to Friday.
Be regularly available between 6:00am and 10:00pm on Saturdays and Sundays, including weekend daytime work.
Be proficient in both written and spoken English.
Communicate clearly, professionally and accurately with residents, clients, colleagues, emergency services and other agencies.
Complete reports, logs, handovers, welfare records and other operational documentation to the required standard.
Demonstrate excellent punctuality, reliability and timekeeping.
Remain calm and professional when dealing with incidents or challenging situations.
Demonstrate good judgement and an understanding of safeguarding and professional boundaries.
Show a compassionate and respectful approach when working with residents, including those with complex or additional needs.
Safeguarding and Background Checks
Due to the environments in which we operate and the individuals we support, successful applicants must complete appropriate screening and background checks.
Five-Year Employment History Check
You must provide a complete employment history covering the previous five years and account for any gaps.
Employment References
We will contact relevant previous employers from within the last five years to verify your employment history.
Additional right-to-work, identity, licensing and background checks may also be completed during recruitment and onboarding.
Experience and Training
Previous security experience is not essential, as comprehensive training will be provided.
