We are looking for a proactive Construction Project Manager to lead the delivery of diverse construction and refurbishment projects at Mount Pleasant Complex in the Falkland Islands. This role offers the chance to work on high-impact infrastructure projects that support UK Armed Forces operations, in a setting that demands resilience, adaptability, and strong leadership.

Your Role

-Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects across the MOD estate.

-Develop and manage detailed project programmes, schedules, and budgets.

-Prepare scopes of work, tender documentation, and oversee contract administration.

-Coordinate contractors, architects, engineers, and consultants to ensure effective collaboration.

-Monitor project progress and performance, providing regular updates and reports to senior management.

-Ensure full compliance with construction regulations, health and safety legislation, and MOD standards.

-Conduct site inspections to assess quality, identify risks, and resolve issues promptly.

-Produce detailed scopes of work and technical drawings using CAD.

-Manage procurement of materials, subcontractors, and specialist services.

-Advise on sustainability, energy efficiency, and cost-effective construction solutions.

-Maintain strong relationships with clients, end users, and internal teams.

-Lead risk management activities and drive continuous improvement across project delivery.

What You'll Bring

-Proven experience as a Construction Project Manager delivering projects in commercial, residential, or public sector environments.

-Strong knowledge of construction practices, regulations, and contract management.

-Experience managing budgets, schedules, and procurement processes.

-Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams.

-Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence in stakeholder engagement.

-High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

-Proficiency in project management software, Microsoft Office, and reporting tools.

-Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Building Surveying, or a related field.

-Professional membership (e.g., CIOB, RICS, APM) or working towards (essential).

-Familiarity with MOD estates and JSP requirements (desirable).
