Hours: Monday - Thursday, 08:00 - 17:00 | Friday, 08:00 - 16:00
Contract: Temporary to Permanent for the right candidate
The Best Connection are currently recruiting on behalf of our client, a successful family-run business based in the Sutton Coldfield area, who are looking for an experienced Quality Control Supervisor to join their team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in Quality Assurance (QA), Quality Control (QC), compliance and document control who is looking for a long-term position with the potential to become permanent.
The Role
You will be responsible for supporting and maintaining the company's quality systems, procedures and standards, working closely with colleagues across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing, reviewing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Managing all aspects of document quality control, including document issue, tracking, review and final archiving.
- Maintaining and managing Batch Processing Records (BPRs).
- Working closely with staff to ensure quality standards are consistently met in accordance with BPRs for both medicinal and non-medicinal products.
- Monitoring performance, gathering relevant data and producing reports as required.
- Conducting internal and third-party audits where required.
- Reviewing and maintaining Health & Safety procedures, including Fire Safety requirements.
- Ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
- Managing designated stock procedures, including quarantine, release, batch rotation, labelling, shrink wrapping, storage and movement of stock.
- Dealing professionally with customer and public complaints and queries via telephone, letter and email.
- Providing appropriate advice and assistance when dealing with customer quality-related queries.
- Undertaking Pharmacovigilance responsibilities as Deputy QPPV.
- Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the business and carrying out other duties appropriate to the role.
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation using Microsoft Excel and associated software.
About You
The ideal candidate will have experience within a quality, compliance, pharmaceutical, manufacturing or regulated environment and be confident working with quality systems and documentation
.
You should have:
- Previous experience in a Quality Assurance / Quality Control role.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
- Experience with SOPs, document control and audit processes.
- An understanding of GMP and quality procedures.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to investigate and resolve quality-related issues.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
- The ability to work independently while also working effectively as part of a wider team.
- A professional and methodical approach to maintaining accurate records and documentation.
Experience within a pharmaceutical or regulated manufacturing environment would be advantageous.
Working Hours & Pay
- Monday - Thursday: 08:00 - 17:00
- Friday: 08:00 - 16:00
- £14.36 - £16.92 per hour, depending on experience
