Summary

Applications are invited for the above temporary full time post within the Reaching Wider Project within the Directorate of Marketing, Recruitment and Communications at Bangor University. The postholder will design, deliver and evaluate a series of STEM workshops in schools and communities across North and Mid Wales and will work with Reaching Wider partners, and Students who are Mentors to deliver fun and informative activities and workshops for Reaching Wider priority learners.

Duties will include promoting, organising, delivering a series of progressive STEM workshops, which will broaden aspirations and Higher Education awareness, skills, and attainment among Reaching Wider’s priority groups.

Candidates should be educated to A level or NVQ level 4 in a relevant subject area or equivalent in a relevant subject area and have experience of outreach engagement with Reaching Wider target cohorts in an educational context and experience of delivering progressive adult learning activities bilingually. A background in STEM subjects or education would be advantageous to this role.

The successful candidate will be expected to commence as soon as possible and the post is available until August 2027.

The ability to communicate in Welsh is essential for the role.

This post is based in either the Bangor or Wrexham campus of Bangor University. Through our Dynamic Working framework, there will also be the option to spend some time working remotely (although remaining in the UK) to support work life balance, which will be discussed further with candidates at interview.
