KPI Education is working with a well-regarded secondary school in

Bromley seeking to appoint a passionate and committed SENCO to lead and develop its SEND provision from September 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced SENCO, Deputy SENCO, SEND Lead or ambitious teacher with significant SEND experience to take the next step in their career.

The Role

As SENCO, you will lead the strategic development of SEND provision across the school, ensuring students with special educational needs and disabilities receive the support they need to access the curriculum, make progress and achieve their potential.

You will work closely with the Senior Leadership Team, teachers, support staff, parents/carers, the Local Authority and external professionals.

Key responsibilities will include:

Leading and developing the school's SEND provision.

Coordinating EHCPs, annual reviews and SEND support.

Ensuring effective identification and assessment of SEND.

Supporting teachers with inclusive classroom strategies.

Monitoring SEND interventions, progress and student outcomes.

Working closely with parents, carers and external agencies.

Leading and developing SEND support staff.

Ensuring compliance with the SEND Code of Practice.

Promoting inclusion and high expectations for all students.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will ideally have

QTS and previous experience working with SEND students in a secondary school environment. Experience as a SENCO, Deputy SENCO, Inclusion Lead or SEND specialist is highly desirable.

The

NASENCO qualification is preferred, although suitably experienced candidates who are willing to complete the qualification may also be considered.

You will be an excellent communicator, highly organised and passionate about improving outcomes for young people with SEND.
