About the Role

This is a 2 day per week Assistant SENCo position, with responsibility for supporting the strategic and operational delivery of SEND provision across the school. The successful candidate will work closely with our Deputy Headteacher for Inclusion, ensuring high-quality provision and outcomes for pupils with additional needs.

The role is primarily non-class based and focused on SEND leadership and provision.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Deputy Headteacher for Inclusion in the leadership and development of SEND provision

• Contribute to the identification, assessment, and monitoring of pupils with SEND

• Work collaboratively with class teachers, support staff, external agencies, and families

• Help ensure statutory SEND processes and documentation are completed to a high standard

• Promote inclusive practice and high expectations for all pupils

• Occasionally provide classroom teaching cover, as required

We are looking for someone who

• Has experience working with pupils with SEND in a primary setting

• Is passionate about inclusive education and improving outcomes for all learners

• Works well as part of a team and values collaboration

• Has strong organisational and communication skills

• Is eager to develop further SEN leadership experience or bring their experience to the team
