Summary
KPI Recruiting are on the look out for a Food Production Operative for our client based in Nantwich.
As a Food Production Operative your working hours and days are:
• 5 out of 7 days per week
• 8- 10 hours per day
The rate of pay as a Food Production Operative is:
• £12.71 p/h
The duties and responsibilities as a Food Production Operative are:
•
Operate Cutting Equipment: Once trained, safely operate automated and semi-automated cheese cutting machinery to cut large cheese blocks into specified sizes and formats.
•
Prepare Cheese for Cutting: Correctly position and load cheese blocks onto conveyors, cutting equipment, or designated work areas in accordance with production procedures.
•
Monitor Cutting Process: Monitor machinery during production to ensure accurate and consistent cuts while maintaining product quality and minimising waste.
•
Product Handling: Carefully handle cheese throughout the cutting process to prevent damage and maintain the required product appearance and quality.
•
Production Targets: Work efficiently to meet daily production requirements while maintaining safety, quality, and hygiene standards.
The ideal candidate for a Food Production Operative would require:
• Previous experience in
food manufacturing, dairy processing, cheese production, packaging, or a similar production environment is desirable.
• Ability to work safely and efficiently around automated machinery and cutting equipment.
• Good attention to detail, particularly when checking weights, cuts, labels, and product quality.
• Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to regularly lift and move loads of up to
25 kg, where required.
• Comfortable working in a
cold, humid, and fast-paced food production environment.
• Ability to follow production instructions, quality procedures, and safety requirements.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Willingness to undertake training and develop competence on cutting machinery and production equipment.
• Strong commitment to
food safety, product quality, cleanliness, and workplace safety.
