A warm, community‑focused primary school with a strong reputation for nurturing pupils and supporting staff is seeking a KS1 Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team. The school is known for its inclusive ethos, excellent behaviour culture and a leadership team that invests heavily in high‑quality teaching and learning.
This is a full‑time, long‑term role starting ASAP, supporting pupils across KS1 and contributing to a positive, structured learning environment.
Role Responsibilities
- Delivering targeted support to KS1 pupils through small‑group and 1:1 work
- Supporting children with mild to moderate SEN needs (ASD, ADHD, speech & language, SEMH)
- Assisting the class teacher with lesson preparation, classroom organisation and behaviour routines
- Helping pupils develop early literacy, numeracy and independent learning skills
- Maintaining a safe, inclusive and engaging classroom environment
- Following safeguarding procedures and communicating effectively with staff and parents
Requirements
- KS1 classroom experience is essential
- Some SEN experience within a primary setting
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Strong communication skills and a proactive, supportive approach
- Ability to commit to a long‑term, full‑time position
- Reliable, professional and confident working within a busy primary school
Pay
£100-£110 per day DOE
