Summary

What's involved with this role:

Triumph Consultants are looking for a Planning Technician to validate and register planning applications, answer technical enquiries and support the Planning and Building Control service. The contract is for 3 months in Walsall WS1 1TP.

Planning Technician

Pay Rate: £18.20 per hour PAYE

Hours per week: 37, Monday-Friday, standard working hours

Contract length: 3 months

Location: Walsall WS1 1TP

Hybrid - 1 day per week on site, Tuesday

Key requirements:

NVQ Level 3, A Levels or equivalent, or relevant experience in planning or Local Land Charges.

Knowledge of planning functions and legislation, with the ability to interpret and measure technical plans and reports accurately.

Strong IT, GIS, organisational and customer service skills, with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines independently.

Key responsibilities

Validate and register planning applications, including complex majors, checking fees, constraints, consultations and submission requirements.

Maintain planning and GIS records, advise applicants, process appeals and conditions, and support site visits, Local Land Charges and Planning Committee work.
