Summary

What's involved with this role:

Triumph Consultants are looking for an experienced Planning Officer (Development Management) to manage householder and minor planning applications, pre-application enquiries and associated appeals. The contract is for 3 months in Walsall WS1 1TP.

Planning Officer (Development Management)

Pay Rate: £25.27 per hour PAYE

Hours per week: 37, Monday-Friday, standard working hours

Contract length: 3 months

Location: Walsall

Hybrid - 2 days per week on site, including Tuesdays

Key requirements:

Practical experience managing householder and minor planning applications, pre-application enquiries and related appeals.

Good knowledge of planning law, with strong report-writing, plan-reading and customer communication skills.

A planning-related degree or equivalent relevant experience, plus a full driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Key responsibilities

Manage a varied caseload from site visits and consultations through negotiation, recommendations and decisions, meeting statutory and local deadlines.

Prepare clear reports and correspondence, maintain complete case files and represent the Council at meetings, case reviews and appeals.
