A well-established fit-out and refurbishment contractor is seeking an experienced Freelance Site Manager to oversee a high-profile office refurbishment project in Glasgow City Centre. With a strong reputation for delivering high-quality commercial fit-out projects across Scotland, this contractor prides itself on maintaining exceptional standards of safety, quality, and client satisfaction.

Your new role

You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day site operations on a multi-floor office refurbishment project in Glasgow City Centre. The scheme involves the refurbishment of four office floors and requires a strong Site Manager capable of coordinating subcontractors, driving programme, and ensuring works are completed safely and to a high standard.Key responsibilities will include:

Managing all site activities from inception through to completion

Coordinating and overseeing subcontractors and site labour

Maintaining health and safety standards on site

Monitoring project progress against programme

Ensuring quality standards are achieved throughout the build

Chairing site meetings and liaising with the project team and stakeholders

Managing site documentation and reporting

This role is expected to commence at the end of September and will run for approximately 20 weeks.

What you'll need to succeed

Proven experience as a Site Manager on commercial fit-out or refurbishment projects

Strong background delivering office refurbishment schemes

Valid SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid certificates

Excellent communication and leadership skills

Ability to manage programme, quality and health & safety effectively

Experience working within occupied or city-centre environments would be advantageous

Availability to commence at the end of September
