We are seeking an experienced Retail Operations Manager with a strong public catering and food service background to oversee the consistent delivery of high-quality food service and retail standards across healthcare sites.
This regional role is responsible for ensuring operational excellence, customer satisfaction, compliance, and financial performance while maintaining a visible presence across the business.
Job Description
We are seeking a proactive and influential leader who can manage and develop site teams, drive continuous improvement, and support site mobilisation activities.
The successful candidate will focus on efficiency, profitability, service standards, and retail excellence while working closely with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute retail strategies that align with healthcare goals and improve site performance.
Oversee budgets, P&L performance, and financial targets to maximise profitability across multiple sites.
Lead, coach, and develop site teams to maintain high standards of service, compliance, and customer engagement.
Ensure adherence to health, safety, and regulatory requirements across all locations.
Analyse key performance metrics, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement effective solutions.
Collaborate with commercial, culinary, and marketing teams to optimise product range and service quality.
Support site mobilisation activities and ensure compliance with company policies and operational standards.
Drive customer satisfaction, retention, and positive brand perception through service excellence initiatives.
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
Strong food service and public catering expertise.
Previous Regional Operations or Business Excellence experience.
Proven managerial experience within the food service or retail industry.
Demonstrated experience managing daily operations across multiple sites.
Strong budget management, P&L, and cost control experience.
Influential, proactive, and solutions-focused approach.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
People-focused leadership style with the ability to recruit, develop, and retain talent.
Flexible and willing to be onsite and visible within the business.
Full UK driving licence required due to travel requirements (car/car allowance provided).
