Summary

We are recruiting for an experienced HGV Technician on behalf of our client, a well-established commercial vehicle workshop based in Leicester. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional seeking a challenging role within a busy and reputable operation that values ongoing training and career development.

- Overtime paid at time and a half Monday to Saturday, double time on Sundays and bank holidays

- Alternating Saturday mornings, working 6:00am – 12:00pm

Duties of a HGV Technician:

- Conduct servicing, repairs, and maintenance on HGVs and commercial vehicles to manufacturer standards

- Diagnosing faults using advanced diagnostic equipment

- Carry out safety inspections and prepare vehicles for MOT testing

- Ensure all work is completed efficiently, safely, and to high-quality standards as a HGV Technician

- Maintain a clean and organised workshop environment

- Keep accurate work records and comply with health and safety regulations

Requirements of a HGV Technician:

- Fully qualified HGV Technician (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent)

- Proven experience working on HGVs or commercial vehicles

- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills

- Positive, proactive attitude with a commitment to quality work

- Full UK driving licence required

- HGV licence is advantageous but not essential
