Summary
Job Purpose: Reporting to the Digital Automation Specialist, the post holder will support the development, testing, deployment and maintenance of Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and low code automation solutions across Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust. The role is suitable for an individual with some basic knowledge of coding and/or exposure to RPA or low code tools, who is looking to develop practical experience within a structured Automation and AI team. The post holder will work under close supervision, following defined standards and procedures, contributing to digital transformation initiatives that improve efficiency, quality and safety of Trust services. Key Duties: Assist in the development of simple RPA solutions and workflows using Microsoft Power Automate and Power Apps, under guidance from senior developers. Support the configuration, testing and documentation of automation solutions. Carry out routine checks, basic troubleshooting and monitoring of live automation processes. Log, update and track work items, incidents and change requests using Jira or similar tools. Follow agreed development standards, documentation templates and version control practices. Participate in Agile ceremonies such as stand ups, sprint reviews and retrospectives as directed. Assist with gathering basic requirements and process information from users and stakeholders. Escalate issues appropriately and in a timely manner. General Duties: Undertake training and self development activities relevant to RPA, low code development and digital services. Carry out any other reasonable duties consistent with the level of responsibility of the post.
