Encortec is a University of Exeter spin-out developing self-powered, low-power IoT monitoring systems for industrial assets and critical infrastructure.

We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Power Electronics Engineer to support the development, testing and optimisation of our existing power-management hardware.

The Role

Our power-management schematic and overall architecture are already developed. The main focus of this role is to review, test, debug and improve the existing design for low power electronic power management of energy harvesting, particularly:

• Low-power operation and power-consumption optimisation

• DC-DC converter and power-management performance

• Circuit stability and transient performance

• Noise and efficiency

• Prototype testing and hardware debugging

• Identifying root causes and implementing practical circuit improvements

You will work closely with our engineering team and external manufacturing partner.
