About Encortec

Encortec is a University of Exeter spin-out developing self-powered IoT monitoring systems for critical infrastructure and industrial applications.

We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Experienced Embedded Software & IoT Engineer to help optimise and further develop our existing embedded platform.

The Role

Our core software platform is already developed. The main focus of this role is to improve the performance, reliability and energy efficiency of the existing system, particularly:

• LTE Cat-1 data throughput and communication performance

• OTA (Over-the-Air) firmware updates

• Power consumption and low-power operation

• STM32 firmware performance and optimisation

• Wireless communication reliability

You will work independently to identify bottlenecks, implement improvements and demonstrate measurable results with supports from our existing hardware and engineering team.
