Greater Manchester - Bolton, Bury, Manchester City, Oldham, Rochdale, Salford, Stockport, Tameside, Trafford & Wigan
£14 to £16 per hour / £105 - £120 per day
Flexible - single day cover through to long term placements, part-time and full-time.
About the role
Schools across Greater Manchester are investing more than ever in pastoral support, emotional wellbeing and specialist SEMH provision. Experienced Learning Mentors are becoming increasingly valuable and the skills developed in this role are highly transferable across education, youth services, safeguarding, mental health and social care.
Elevate Beyond is recruiting Pastoral Learning Mentors throughout Greater Manchester. Working with young people aged 11 to 19 you will provide one to one mentoring, pastoral support and re-engagement programmes that help learners achieve positive outcomes both inside and outside the classroom.
Young People You Will Support
- SEMH and emotional regulation difficulties
- Trauma and Adverse Childhood Experiences
- School avoidance and anxiety
- Behavioural challenges and EBD
- Barriers to education, employment, and training
Essential requirements
- Relevant experience working with young people
- Enhanced DBS with children's barred list
- DBS Update Service registration
- Level 2 Safeguarding certificate
- Two professional references
- Right to work in the UK
