Summary

This role is responsible for leading the Council's internal and digital communications, ensuring employees are informed, engaged, and connected with Council activities. Key responsibilities include creating and managing internal communications, overseeing websites, social media channels and e-newsletters, supporting media and press relations, and leading digital projects such as the migration to a new content management system. The postholder will also monitor the effectiveness of communications, develop engaging content, and work closely with colleagues across the organisation to promote Council priorities and improve communication services. The role requires creativity, strong communication skills, project management experience, and the ability to manage a varied and fast-paced workload.
