Summary

Are you currently working as an OT Assistant or OT Technician, or someone with the right skills and a real passion for mental health? Would you like the opportunity to join an innovative and dynamic team?

We’re looking to recruit anOccupational Therapy Technicianto join the Bedford Crisis Resolution Home Treatment Team.

In this role, you will support the Occupational Therapist by assisting with assessments and delivering interventions for adults experiencing mental health crises. You will provide specialist Occupational Therapy interventions under the guidance and supervision of the OT team, while also working independently on a day-to-day basis across a range of community settings.

You will also support the wider CRHT day to day with visits and triage calls and work collaboratively with CRHT colleagues to ensure the safety and wellbeing of service users and carers.

CAR DRIVER AND UK LICENSE WITH BUSINESS INSURANCE IS ESSENTIAL. 

THIS ROLE IS NOT ELIGIBLE FOR INTERNATIONAL SPONSORSHIP.

The post holder will join a well-established, supportive multi-disciplinary team. Interventions will involve working collaboratively with service users and their carers to achieve agreed short-term goals aimed at improving functional abilities across a range of daily activities, including self-care, work-related tasks, domestic activities, and leisure. The post holder must be able to travel independently across the county. A good understanding of the role of Occupational Therapy in a crisis service is preferred but not essential.
