Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Vehicle Service Advisor to join our client’s busy automotive repair centre in Rumney. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional wishing to advance their career within a reputable and expanding business.

This role offers significant involvement in customer communication, including updating clients on vehicle progress, organising repair schedules, and upselling additional services and products.

The role reports directly to the business owners, providing a key support function within a dynamic department. Operating during standard weekday hours, the Vehicle Service Advisor will play a crucial role in maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and departmental efficiency.

Duties of the Service Advisor:

- Managing customer appointments and expectations in a professional manner

- Liaising with the workshop team to track vehicle repairs and service progress

- Providing accurate vehicle service updates to customers

- Upselling additional products, including service options and accessories

- Booking and organising workshop workloads to optimise efficiency

- Maintaining detailed customer records and service histories

- Ensuring high standards of customer service are delivered at all times

- Assisting with administrative tasks related to service department duties

Requirements:

- Previous experience as a Vehicle Service Advisor or similar automotive industry role

- Outstanding communication skills to ensure clear and professional customer interactions

- Strong organisational abilities with the capability to prioritise effectively

- IT literacy, with experience in Kerridge or similar dealership management systems advantageous but not essential

- A proactive attitude focused on delivering the highest level of customer satisfaction

- Ability to work well within a team in a fast-paced environment
